This collection plays on the “dupe,” a term used to describe a less expensive knock off—or duplicate—of a designer product. Often manufactured by the same factory that supplies the name brand it’s ripping off, dupes are often sold on marketplaces like AliExpress using slightly misspelled brand names in an attempt to avoid copyright infringement.
